'Manimekhala centre for classical dance' is an institution founded by Uthara which intends in the promotion of Indian Classical dance forms. She has set up her class in Bengalure where the training is given not only to kids, but also to all dance enthusisasts, irrespective of their age. Special classes are taken for Working women as well as house wives. Classes are taken for Bharathanatyam, Odissi and Mohiniyattam. Uthara's closs association with the institution, Lalithodayam Nrithalaya, an institute based in Trivandrum which promotes Indian classical dances which was founded by her own mother Smt. SobhaAntharjanam has shaped Uthara into a perfect teacher. She enjoys sharing the knowledge of the dance to more people.
